3.2 Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at expertcareerguide.com/support-center/contact-us/ if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to maintain account security.
3.3 Account accuracy
You must not impersonate any person or entity, misrepresent your professional credentials, institutional affiliations, or areas of expertise, or create an account using false information. Expert profiles are subject to verification — providing false credential information is a violation of these Terms and grounds for immediate account termination.
3.4 One account per person
Each individual may hold only one account. Multiple accounts created by the same individual — particularly for the purpose of self-referral in the Affiliate Program — are a violation of these Terms.
4. Platform Services
ExpertCareerGuide.com provides the following services subject to these Terms.
Knowledge Hub — a collection of expert-authored articles, academic publications, career guides, memoirs and stories, study notes and learning resources available free to all visitors.
Digital Library — a collection of e-books and interactive digital publications available in FlipHTML5 format. Free titles are open to all visitors. Paid titles are purchased through our WooCommerce checkout.
Browse Experts directory — a searchable directory of verified expert profiles offering one-on-one advisory sessions bookable through the platform.
Advisory sessions — one-on-one video sessions between registered members and verified experts. Sessions are facilitated through the platform but conducted independently between the member and the expert.
Contributor publishing — a submission and editorial review pathway for registered members to publish original content in the Knowledge Hub.
Affiliate Program — a member-only commission program for earning income on referred e-book sales and platform registrations. Governed by the separate Affiliate Program Terms.
Support Center — a support infrastructure including Help Center & FAQ, Account & Billing Support, Technical Support, Editorial & Submission Support, and Report an Issue pathways.
5. Content Standards and Community Guidelines
5.1 Your content
All content you submit, publish, or share on ExpertCareerGuide.com — including articles, academic publications, career guides, memoirs, study notes, profile information, and session descriptions — must comply with the following standards.
You must own or have the right to submit all content you provide. You must not submit plagiarized content or content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. Content must be accurate to the best of your knowledge and must not contain false, misleading, or fabricated claims. Content must not be defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, or harmful to any individual or group. Content must not be promotional material for commercial products, services, or businesses — including your own — beyond the permitted author bio format. Content must not contain explicit, sexually suggestive, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material. Content must not facilitate illegal activity, promote harmful behavior, or violate any applicable Philippine law.
5.2 AI-generated content
You may use AI tools for drafting assistance, grammar editing, and structural support. The ideas, expertise, analysis, and intellectual contribution in any submitted content must be authentically yours. Submitting wholly AI-generated content without meaningful human authorship as your own original work is a violation of these Terms and the platform’s publishing standards.
5.3 Expert conduct
Experts listed on the Browse Experts directory must provide guidance that is honest, accurate, and genuinely in the interest of the person being advised. Experts must not misrepresent their credentials, fabricate professional experience, or provide advice outside their genuine area of competence. Experts must not use advisory sessions to promote commercial products, recruit for businesses, or solicit personal relationships with members.
5.4 Prohibited conduct
The following conduct is prohibited on ExpertCareerGuide.com regardless of account type.
Harassing, threatening, or abusing other members, contributors, or experts. Attempting to circumvent platform security, access controls, or payment systems. Scraping, harvesting, or extracting platform data by automated means without our written permission. Attempting to manipulate search results, affiliate tracking, or platform analytics through artificial or fraudulent means. Distributing spam, phishing content, or malware through the platform or its messaging systems. Using the platform for any purpose that violates applicable Philippine law or international law.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Platform content
All platform design, branding, user interface elements, original editorial content produced by ExpertCareerGuide.com, and proprietary platform infrastructure are owned by Asturias Infinitive Media and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from platform content without our written permission.
6.2 Your content
You retain full intellectual ownership of all original content you submit and publish on ExpertCareerGuide.com. By submitting content for publication, you grant ExpertCareerGuide.com a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform and in associated platform communications — including social media posts, newsletters, and promotional materials that reference the platform’s content.
This license does not transfer ownership of your content to ExpertCareerGuide.com. You may republish your content elsewhere with appropriate credit to ExpertCareerGuide.com as the original publisher. You may request removal of published content at any time — upon removal the license to display that specific content ends.
6.3 Third-party intellectual property
If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed on ExpertCareerGuide.com, submit a DMCA or copyright infringement report via the Report an Issue form at expertcareerguide.com/support-center/ The platform team will review all infringement reports within 3 business days.
7. Sessions and Bookings
7.1 Nature of sessions
Advisory sessions on ExpertCareerGuide.com are personal guidance conversations between a registered member and a verified expert. Sessions are not professional legal, medical, financial, or psychological consultations. Advice received in sessions is personal and informal in nature and should not be treated as professional advice requiring accreditation or licensing.
7.2 Expert responsibility
Experts are independent contractors — not employees or agents of ExpertCareerGuide.com. The platform facilitates the connection and booking but does not control the content of advisory sessions. ExpertCareerGuide.com is not responsible for the advice given by experts during sessions.
7.3 Member responsibility
Members are responsible for using session guidance responsibly. Career decisions, academic choices, and professional actions taken on the basis of session advice are the member’s own responsibility. ExpertCareerGuide.com does not guarantee any outcome from advisory sessions.
7.4 Payment and refunds
Session fees are set by individual experts and processed through the platform’s WooCommerce checkout. Payment is required at the time of booking for paid sessions. Cancellation and refund policies are set by each expert and displayed before booking is confirmed. In the case of an expert failing to attend a confirmed paid session, a full refund will be processed.
7.5 Session conduct
Both members and experts are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully during sessions. Sessions may not be recorded without the explicit mutual consent of both parties. Any session conducted in violation of these Terms or the platform’s community standards may result in account suspension.
8. Digital Library and E-Books
8.1 Free titles
Free Digital Library titles are available to all visitors without registration or payment. Free titles may be read in the FlipHTML5 interactive reader and are not available for download unless explicitly stated on the title’s page.
8.2 Paid titles
Paid Digital Library titles are purchased through the WooCommerce checkout. Upon successful payment, the purchased title is accessible from your account dashboard indefinitely. Purchased titles are licensed for personal use by the purchasing account holder only.
8.3 Prohibited uses
You may not share, redistribute, reproduce, resell, or make purchased e-book content publicly available without the written permission of the author and ExpertCareerGuide.com. Violation of this provision is an infringement of the author’s intellectual property rights and a violation of these Terms.
8.4 Refunds
Refund requests for e-book purchases are considered within 7 days of purchase where a technical error prevented access to the purchased title or where the title was materially misrepresented in its description. Refund requests are submitted via the Account & Billing Support form.
9. Affiliate Program
Participation in the ExpertCareerGuide.com Affiliate Program is governed by the separate Affiliate Program Terms published at expertcareerguide.com/affiliate-program/ and incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key provisions include the member-only access requirement, the prohibition on self-referral, the ethical promotion requirements, and the payout terms.
10. Payments and Billing
10.1 Payment processing
All payments on ExpertCareerGuide.com are processed through WooCommerce. Philippine buyers pay via PayMongo — accepting GCash, Maya, credit cards, and debit cards. International buyers pay via PayPal. ExpertCareerGuide.com does not store payment card details — all card processing is handled entirely by PayMongo and PayPal under their respective security standards.
10.2 Currency
All prices on ExpertCareerGuide.com are displayed in Philippine Peso (PHP) unless otherwise stated. International buyers paying via PayPal are subject to PayPal’s currency conversion rates.
10.3 Disputes
For any payment dispute or billing concern, submit a request via the Account & Billing Support form at expertcareerguide.com/support-center/ within 30 days of the disputed transaction. We will investigate and respond within 2 business days.
11. Account Suspension and Termination
11.1 By you
You may deactivate or delete your account at any time. Account deletion is irreversible. Published content will be removed upon account deletion. Affiliate commissions that have cleared the verification window will be processed in the next payout cycle before deletion is completed.
11.2 By us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, the platform’s community standards, publishing standards, or affiliate program terms. We also reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
In cases of serious violation — including intellectual property infringement, fraud, identity misrepresentation, or legal breaches — account termination is immediate. For less serious violations we will typically issue a warning before suspension, except where the nature of the violation requires immediate action.
11.3 Effect of termination
Upon account termination, your access to platform features — including your account dashboard, session booking, affiliate program, and contributor portal — is revoked. Published content associated with your account may be removed at our discretion. Earned affiliate commissions that have cleared the verification window will be paid in the final payout cycle.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
12.1 Platform availability
ExpertCareerGuide.com is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time without notice.
12.2 Content accuracy
While we apply editorial standards to Knowledge Hub content, we do not warrant that all published content is accurate, complete, or current. 12.4 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Philippine law, Asturias Infinitive Media shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use ExpertCareerGuide.com — including loss of income, data, or professional opportunity. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the total amount you paid to the platform in the three months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Asturias Infinitive Media, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, damage, liability, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, your content submitted to the platform, or your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of ExpertCareerGuide.com shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the appropriate courts of the Philippines with jurisdiction over Asturias Infinitive Media’s place of business.
