Articles and Insights
Articles and Insights
Careers · Education · Industry · Personal Growth · Expert-authored · Free to read
Knowledge that is genuinely useful looks different from knowledge that is merely available. Articles and Insights is ExpertCareerGuide.com’s collection of expert-authored, editorially reviewed educational content — written by educators, industry professionals, and knowledge-rich contributors who know their subject from the inside.
This is not a blog. It is not a content feed. Every article in this section is written by a verified contributor with real expertise in what they are writing about — and reviewed by the editorial team before publication. The result is a knowledge library that grows in credibility with every piece added.
All articles are free to read. No account required. No paywall.
Articles and Insights vs Perspectives and Insights — what is the difference?
Both sections live in the Knowledge Hub but serve different purposes. Articles and Insights is your educational reference library — evergreen, informational, and structured for learning. Perspectives and Insights is the platform’s commentary and opinion section — timely, first-person, and analytical. The table below shows the distinction clearly.

Who Writes for Articles and Insights
Articles and Insights is a contributor-led section. Content is submitted by verified platform members — educators, industry professionals, and students or early professionals — and reviewed editorially before publication. The platform does not publish AI-generated or anonymous content in this section.
Educators
Professors, lecturers, teachers, and researchers writing on education, academic disciplines, teaching methods, and career pathways within their field.
Industry Professionals
Practitioners, specialists, and career advisors writing on industries, workplace realities, professional development, and sector-specific knowledge.
Students & Early Professionals
Graduate students and early-career professionals writing research-informed articles, learning reflections, and emerging-voice contributions from within their discipline.
Quality over volume
Articles and Insights is deliberately not a high-volume content section. Ten excellent, genuinely useful articles are worth more than one hundred generic ones. The editorial review process exists to protect both the reader’s time and the contributor’s professional credibility — not to create barriers to publication.
Publishing Standards
These standards apply to all submissions to the Articles and Insights section. They are designed to ensure that every article published here is genuinely useful to the reader — not keyword-optimized filler, not promotional material, and not content that could have been written by anyone about anything.
|
Standard |
What this requires |
|---|---|
|
Original and expert-authored |
Content must be written by the submitting contributor based on genuine professional or academic experience. Generalist or purely derivative content not grounded in the author’s own expertise will not be accepted. |
|
Informational — not promotional |
Articles must educate, explain, or illuminate — not sell. No promotional content for products, services, or organizations, including the author’s own. A brief author bio with professional links is acceptable at the end of a piece. |
|
Accurate and responsible |
Facts, statistics, and claims must be accurate to the best of the author’s knowledge. Where data is cited, sources should be acknowledged. Where claims are contested or preliminary, this must be stated clearly. |
|
Accessible to an educated general audience |
Articles should be readable by someone outside the author’s immediate discipline. Avoid unnecessary jargon. Define technical terms where they are essential. The goal is knowledge transfer, not credentialing. |
|
Structured and scannable |
Articles must have a clear introduction, logical section progression, and a conclusion or key takeaway. Use subheadings. Long unbroken paragraphs reduce readability and discourage completion. |
|
Philippines and regional context where relevant |
Articles addressing career markets, industries, or educational systems should acknowledge the Philippine and regional context where it applies — not assume a Western or global default that does not reflect the reader’s reality. |
|
AI content standards |
AI tools may be used for grammar editing, structural assistance, and research support. The expertise, analysis, and knowledge in the article must be authentically the contributor’s own. Wholly AI-generated articles without meaningful human authorship will not be accepted. |
Article Formats and Length
Articles and Insights accepts four distinct formats. Choose the format that best suits your content — not the one that is longest. A focused 900-word article that makes one point clearly is more valuable than a 4,000-word piece that loses its thread halfway through.
|
Format |
Length |
Best suited for |
|---|---|---|
|
Short-form article |
800 – 1,500 words |
A single focused topic, a quick professional insight, or an introductory explainer on a subject the author knows well |
|
Standard article |
1,500 – 3,000 words |
In-depth exploration of a career, education, or industry topic — the primary format for most Articles & Insights submissions |
|
Long-form feature |
3,000 – 5,000 words |
Comprehensive guides, multi-faceted industry overviews, or structured educational pieces covering a topic in full depth |
|
Series article |
800 – 2,500 words per part |
Multi-part articles on a connected topic — submitted as individual parts, linked together on publication |
How to Submit a Career Guide
The submission process for academic publications follows the same five-step pathway as all Knowledge Hub contributions, with additional fields specific to scholarly work.
Register or sign in
Create or sign into your contributor account at expertcareerguide.com. Your contributor profile — including your professional background and credentials — is published alongside your article and forms part of your authorship record.
Choose your category and format
Identify which of the six categories your article falls under and what format it will take — short-form, standard, long-form, or series. This helps the editorial team route your submission correctly.
Write your article
Write in accordance with the publishing standards above. Include a clear headline, a short introduction that states your article’s purpose, logical section headings, and a conclusion or key takeaway. If you are citing data or external sources, include attribution.
Editorial review
The editorial team reviews your submission for quality, accuracy, and standards compliance. Most articles receive a response within 7 to 14 business days. You will be notified by email at each stage.
Publication and promotion
Approved articles are published in the Articles and Insights shelf, tagged by category and audience, linked from your contributor profile, and included in the platform’s content promotion channels.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between submitting to Articles and Insights versus Perspectives & Insights?
Submit to Articles & Insights when your piece is primarily educational and informational — explaining, guiding, or teaching something based on your expertise. Submit to Perspectives & Insights when your piece is primarily a personal viewpoint, commentary, or analytical position. If unsure, describe your piece in the submission form and the editorial team will route it to the right section.
Can I submit an article that I have already published on LinkedIn or my own blog?
Articles must be original to ExpertCareerGuide.com and not previously published in substantially the same form elsewhere. If you have published a shorter version on LinkedIn, a significantly expanded and revised version may be acceptable — disclose this in your submission. Contact the editorial team if you are unsure.
How long does the editorial review take?
Most submissions receive a response within 7 to 14 business days. During high-volume periods this may extend to 21 days. You will receive an acknowledgement email when your submission is received and a decision email when the review is complete.
Can I include links to external sources in my article?
Yes — and for data-driven or research-informed articles, external citations are encouraged. Avoid excessive links to your own content, services, or products. Links to the ECG Digital Library or other Knowledge Hub content are always acceptable.
Can I write a series of connected articles?
Yes. Series articles are accepted — submit each part individually and note in the submission form that it is part of a series, specifying the total number of parts and the part number being submitted. Parts will be linked together on publication.
Will my article be promoted beyond the platform?
Published articles are shared through ECG’s community channels, contributor newsletters, and Territorial Coordinator and Campus Engagement Ambassador outreach. Featured contributors receive additional visibility. Promotion is community-driven — not paid.
Can I update my article after it has been published?
Minor updates — correcting facts, refreshing statistics, or updating links — can be requested via the editorial team. Substantial rewrites require a new submission. All updates are noted with a published revision date on the article page.
